Welder
Responsibilities
  • Perform necessary welding in a production environment Mig and stick.
  • Ability to weld safely.
  • Knowledge of various components and functions of material handling equipment and material.
  • Ability to consistently maintain organization is a fluid environment.
  • Ability to perform job duties while using various forms of Personal Protective Equipment such as steel toe shoes, hard hat, safety shield, etc.
  • Ability to maintain professional behavior in all situations.
  • Ability to communicate English clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Perform simple mathematical computations with speed and accuracy.
  • Regularly perform work in an environment with some exposure to noise, varying temperatures, smoke, etc.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, up to a full 8-hours.
  • Frequently use two hands to lift 50+ lbs. As well as manipulate product and equipment which may require reaching above the shoulders or kneeling to work at ground level.
  •  Climb ladders, as needed to retrieve items off of high shelves or other locations.
  • Assemble and weld all types of racking to the highest quality level.
  • Develops welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assembly;calculating requirements;studying metals;determining appropriate welding techniques.
  • Collects equipment and materials by studying specifications and component requirements, ordering supplies and gases.
  • Fabricates components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces;setting-up and measuring assemblies;selecting appropriate method.
  • Verifies welding results by inspecting and testing welds.
  • Documents actions by completing records.
  • Maintains safe work environment by following procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Maintains equipment by following operating instructions;troubleshooting breakdowns;maintaining supplies;performing preventive maintenance;calling for repairs.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License with a clean record
Two years comparable experience
