Sr Project Accounting Analyst - Hybrid DH
SCHEDULE: DAY SHIFT - FLEXIBLE ON START AND END TIME - EITHER 7: 30AM TO 4: 30PM OR 8: 00AM TO 5: 00PM.
HYBRID AVAILABLE: THE TEAM IS CURRENTLY WORKING MONDAY, TUESDAY, AND FRIDAY IN THE OFFICE WITH WEDNESDAYS AND THURSDAYS AT HOME.
TOP SKILLS REQUIRED:
Position will be responsible for revenue recognition and analyzing cost incurred/cost budget data.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for tracking progress on drilling equipment package projects with revenues greater than 10M per contract
- Review contracts for multiple elements of revenue recognition and billing milestones
- Review new project cost estimates for reasonableness
- Analyze cost incurred, as reported by intercompany partners, on a monthly basis
- Analyze product cost and adjust cost budgets on a monthly basis
- Coordinate with general accounting/accounts payable to ensure proper processing of project related costs
- Reconcile project costs to budgets and discuss differences with project management on a monthly basis
- Prepare revenue cut off testing as part of SOX compliance
- Coordinate with project management to gather required documentation for revenue recognition
- Prepare standard journal entries associated with the monthly closing of the general ledger
- Reconcile project related work-in-process and BIX/CIX accounts monthly and resolve aged and reconciling items
- Analyze balance sheet position of individual projects on a monthly basis to ensure milestone billing is accurate
- Perform month end close activities for POC/COC/Standard Orders
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional Accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance (Required)
- Masters Degree in Accounting/Finance (Preferred)
- Prior Manufacturing industry experience (Preferred)
Skills / Capabilities:
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Required)/ Access (Preferred)
- Alteryx (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance
- Prior Manufacturing industry experience (Preferred)
- Revenue Accounting and/or Auditing experience (Preferred)
- Oracle Experience (Preferred)
