Responsible for troubleshooting and/or testing of company products following standard methods and procedures and adhering to established specifications, using standard laboratory equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform fundamental and repetitive tests of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies to determine if they meet specifications.
Perform tests and troubleshoots equipment by setting up and using standard laboratory equipment.
Provides support to Digital Engineering for bread-boarding, debugging circuits and firmware/software as testing is being
Work from schematics, specifications, sketches, or other authorized information to determine performance requirements of equipment being tested.
Repair, adjust, and calibrate equipment to bring it within requirements.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
Follow departmental procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
High School Diploma and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or 2 years Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years prior related experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology highly preferred.
RF Devices and Microprocessor required experience. RF Test equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc. All required
Firmware knowledge equivalent or desired
Knowledge or experience of using microprocessor programming languages: C, C++,
Hardware knowledge or equivalent
Knowledge of hardware development as it pertains to embedded software
Knowledge/familiarity of VHDL to describe digital circuits for FPGA design is desired.
Knowledge/ familiarity with FPGA’s and development tools desired.
Knowledge of digital communication protocols SPI, I2C, RS232, RS422, RS485, etc
Working knowledge of analog control circuits such as AID, DIA converters and op
Excellent verbal and written communication Experience writing technical specifications and other technical documents
Microsoft Office proficiency
