Job Description


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

•Assemble and rework printed circuit boards such as Tru Hole and SMT component soldering.

•Integrate complicated modular systems by following assembly drawings.

•Test, program, and document systems in accordance with specified procedures.

•Test and troubleshoot production subassemblies and boards consisting of RF, digital, and analog electronic circuits and systems.

•Follow electrical schematics and troubleshoot circuit boards down to component level.

•Use electronic test equipment such as Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers etc. To test and verify operation of production circuits and systems.

•Perform tuning of circuit boards by following test procedures.

•Assemble and verify operation of test fixtures for circuit boards and cables.

•Use in-house test fixtures to validate operation and functionality of circuit boards.

•Evaluate and repair customer returns and complete RMA repair reports in accordance with company procedures.

•Load and configure proprietary software modules used in company’s head end products.

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:  

•Extensive experience in testing and troubleshooting RF circuits and systems below 1 GHz.

•Able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

•Capable of following electronic circuit test procedures to determine proper operation.

•Proven electronic assembly skills such as TH and SMT component soldering and rework.

•Ability to test, program, and document systems in accordance with specified procedures.

•Proven knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuits and systems.

•Ability to read and follow electrical schematics to troubleshoot circuit boards down to component level.

•Strong working knowledge and experience using test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers.

•Capable of constructing and wiring test fixtures to simplify circuit board testing process.

•Capable of documenting and communicating production issues with engineering.

•Skilled in circuit board repair and rework.

•Must have basic personal computer skills, specifically with Microsoft office suite.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

•Associate degree or certificate from an accredited program in the electrical or electronics field.

•Three years minimum industry experience related to the duties and requirements listed above.
