Quality Manager
Job Description
Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) is compliant with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards. This role oversees quality personnel, collaborates with various departments to establish best practices, and manages customer engagements to ensure product quality.
Essential Job Duties:
- Ensure QMS compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards.
- Maintain the QMS framework, including procedural methods and responsibilities of quality personnel.
- Lead Dakota Quality staff to promote organizational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with peers and functional leaders to ensure 100% product quality for customers.
- Manage customer engagements, including manufacturing and quality-related interactions (e.G., Failure Analysis, Root Cause, and Corrective Actions).
- Respond to customer compliance requests (RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals).
- Act as the direct liaison with customer quality/technical personnel and suppliers.
- Develop and implement a training program to improve quality awareness across all departments.
- Serve as the Quality Assurance representative on the Materials Review Board (MRB).
- Reduce scrap and rework costs.
- Manage equipment calibration systems.
- Review customer purchase orders, contracts, and change requests to ensure all quality and process criteria are met.
- Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the Senior Leadership Team, focusing on customer satisfaction and financial performance.
- Collaborate daily with the Senior Leadership Team.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years’experience in a quality assurance manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Experience in the semiconductor and capital equipment industry.
- Thorough understanding of the requirements for a functional Quality Management System.
