Quality Engineer
Job Description
Looking to hire a Quality Engineer to join our Ejection Seating team in beautiful Miami Florida. This position will be the primary interface between the company and the customer with the focus on fostering a relationship, ensuring and improving quality performance, and supporting the company' operational goals including the manufacturing, inspection, and shipment of aviation products
.
The Quality Engineer will lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
•Assess and disposition customer non-conformances.
•Review and approve First Article inspections. Perform product, process and work instruction audits
•Interface with various Engineering groups and Customer Support to resolve technical/quality issues related to engine manual repairs and other approved technical data
•Assist with Escape investigations within Business Units. Actively participate on plant wide team
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management, quality or closely related industrial environment, or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management, quality or closely related industrial environment.
•In lieu of a degree, 4 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management, quality or closely related industrial environment
•U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:
•Demonstrated effective root cause determination skills (8D, Fault Tree, etc.)
•Ability to obtain, organize and analyze quality data
•Excellent computer skills
•Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
