Production Supervisor
Job Description
Hours 5: 30am-3: 30pm
JOB SUMMARY and KEY OBJECTIVES
Hands-on responsibility for overseeing manufacturing activities in an assigned area of the food production plant
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS
Coaches, mentors, and trains Line Leads and plant employees.
Maintains safe environment by supporting Food and Workplace Safety Rules and Regulations, as well as employee safety
Ensures that the assigned lines meet production goals.
Recommends opportunities for improved efficiency and performance.
Ensures that production meets exceptional quality goals.
Communicates issues timely to production management
Provides training opportunities and development tools for production staff.
Enforces safe work practices.
Spends 90% on the floor.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION and EDUCATION
· Five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment
· Must possess excellent people skills and maintain positive relationships with all levels of management.
· Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
· Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus
