Position Summary:
Eligibility for this position requires US citizenship; successful candidate must provide proof of US citizenship in order to obtain badge access to the site. Candidate must complete security questionnaire and successfully clear site access requirements check. All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment. Must be able to obtain a security clearance, as applicable.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Essential duties include the locating and designing supports in a 3D model for various piping systems and performing associated calculations. Candidate should be familiar with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3. Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Prior experience should include working in a 3D model environment.
Basic Qualifications:
US Citizenship
Good knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards
Prior experience using and pipe support structural analysis program
BS degree in an engineering with a minimum of 9 years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications:
EIT or PE Registration
Previous company and/or DOD or DOE project experience
Prior experience using structural analysis programs
Prior experience with 3D modeling of pipe supports
