Material Coordinator II
Job Description
Summary
The Material Coordinator will work in a warehouse environment with chemicals and must have material handling experience with chemicals or dangerous goods. SAP and forklifts will be used.
Responsibilities
Under general supervision, responsible for ensuring timely materials goods movements, accurate and appropriate storage and movement of products and inventory accuracy. Also responsible for other daily operations functions of the warehouse which includes various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Job will also require the performance of other duties and activities as directed. Candidates will need experience in handling and storing chemicals including hazardous chemicals. Some examples include compressed gases, flammable liquids, oxidizers and corrosives. Candidates will also need experience in preparing these hazardous chemicals to be transported via air for international destinations and over the road for domestic US destinations. This includes using DOT and IATA regulations to properly pack, mark and label packages with all the relevant hazard markings as well as provide dangerous goods documents when applicable.
Required
- Chemical handling experience is a must
- Shipping dangerous goods is a must
- SAP experience
- Marking and labeling hazmat packages and completing necessary documents for each mode of transport
- DOT and IATA Certification
Education
- HS Diploma OR GED
