Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Blade Assembler / Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role requires the ability to read and interpret measuring tools, follow detailed work instructions, and independently operate a variety of blade-making equipment and processes. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately use and read measuring tools including tape measures, micrometers, and Vernier calipers.

  • Convert fractions to decimals with ease.

  • Plan, set up, and operate blade manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision.

  • Perform a variety of blade processing operations such as punching, shearing, drilling, skiving, bevel grinding, flattening, routing, slitting, riveting, finishing, and assembly.

  • Pull coil stock and materials as needed for orders.

  • Conduct basic machine maintenance and upkeep.

  • Ensure all products meet required specifications and quality standards.

  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and quality documentation.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

  • Take full responsibility for the quality of personal work.

  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

  • Work overtime as required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with blade assembly and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience using lifting equipment (e.G., cranes, power lifts) to move irregularly shaped components.

Knowledge & Skills:

 

  • Basic shop math and mechanical understanding.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.

  • Familiarity with standard manufacturing operations and practices.

  • Skilled in using measuring tools and controlling equipment to meet tight tolerances and drawing specifications.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to troubleshoot and resolve practical manufacturing issues with limited supervision.

  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and work documentation.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
