Facilities Systems and Instrumentation Engineer

$80-$89/hr.
7: 00am to 4: 00pm
Accountable for supporting the Resort’s Facilities Engineering team with control system design, PLC programming, estimation, scheduling, and to providing field support for installation, sustainment, and troubleshooting of Facility Control Systems which include Thermal Energy Storage System, Central Plants, Boiler, Chillers, Compressed Air Systems, Resort-wide building EMS/BMS systems, utility monitoring/metering, SCADA, and water filtration plants. A successful candidate will have the ability to execute PLC control system design and programming to support controls and instrumentation efforts for the above systems. Most of the cast member’s time will be spent with design, Ladder Logic software development on Allen-Bradley PLC’s using RSLogix 5000, system integration and deployment, testing, and creating and revising documentation of these systems. The remaining time will be spent in response of the maintenance team support requests, facility sustainment needs, and reporting the system status and trend analysis.
Basic Qualifications •Minimum 8-12 years of proven experience in Ladder Logic Programming on Allen-Bradley PLC’s using RSLogix 5000 •Experience with specifying, configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting instrumentation such as flow meters, pressure transducers, temperature sensors, RTD's, and other instrumentation. •Experience with MODBUS Serial and Ethernet and other industrial communication protocols. •Ability to interpret and develop P&IDs, Sequence of Operations, Experience with Central Energy Plant Systems. •Understanding of system-level considerations and basic mechanical principles –pumps, valves, pressurized systems, fans, compressed air and air dryer systems. •Experience in wiring, configuring, troubleshooting, and testing VFD’s. •Knowledge of various electrical circuits, instrumentation–relays, proximity switches, control valves, motors, relays, solenoids, 4-20mA, 0-10/2-10VDC, RTDs, etc. •Knowledge and experience designing in AutoCAD and design of UL 508A panels. •Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and test equipment usage (voltmeter, oscilloscope, etc.) Preferred Qualifications •Extensive programming experience with RSLogix. •AVEVA Wonderware, DAS, and Historian experience. •Experience with monitoring electrical power distribution, power metering, PMCS, energy management. •Experience with the operation of large multi-building campuses and facility controls integration. •Professional Control Systems or Electrical Engineering license.
