Primary Purpose of this Job
Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the organization’s manufacturing systems, with the goal of being the premier manufacturing group in the industry. The Director, Operations will oversee all areas Operations including Machining, Flowforming, Forging, Assembly & Test departments.
Responsibilities
•Responsible for the overall direction, management and results of departments and carries out responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws
•Minimizes product costs while meeting customer value requirements
•Directs LEAN efforts to minimize the cost of quality including scrap, rework, and field failures
•Interfaces with customers, vendors, subcontractors and ensures the organization is in compliance with company policies and procedures
•Further develops and implements performance metrics to ensure on-time-delivery of production to customers
Basic Qualifications
§Bachelor’s Degree;ME /IE;10-15 years of related experience 
§Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt & Continuous Improvement expertise
§Effectively make presentations;respond and relate to issues, opportunities, and challenges customers
§Ability to respond and relate to customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to:
•Communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
•Adapt to changing work environment, competing demands, able to deal with frequent change, delays, and unexpected events
•Communicate and work with all levels of staff in various departments
Work Environment
The job operates in a manufacturing atmosphere. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those any employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to:
•Vibration, or works near moving mechanical parts and high, precarious, and congested places
•Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
•Work on or near moving mechanical parts
•Exposed to prolonged risk of loud to moderate noise throughout the day. Hearing protection is recommended in all areas of the shop and is provided by the Company
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
•Walk;sit;stand;bend;lift;reach with hands and arms;stoop;kneel;crouch;crawl;use hands to fingers;handle or feel objects;and move continually during working hours
•Lift over 50 pounds, along with over the head lifting
•Vision abilities, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
•Able to work flexible hours –including weekends to meet customer demands
