Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the installation of operating systems, network systems, software, and hardware
  • Create new user accounts in Active directory / exchange / office 365 etc.
  • Perform customer PC migrations, migrate all files and settings, software, etc. From old machine to new
  • Install and configure Watchguard SMB firewalls, network switches and wireless access points
  • Troubleshoot VPN issues with remote clients
  • Perform various desktop support troubleshooting tasks
  • Troubleshoot various customer line of business software with assistance of vendor support
  • Install and troubleshoot VOIP phone systems
  • Monitor system operations to detect potential problems
  • Provide technical support to customers via E-Mail on the phone, using remote software, and on site
  • Work with Labtech Software (now ConnectWise Automate) to monitor and manage client networks
  • Produce and update customer network documentation and diagrams using IT Glue and Lucidchart
  • Participate in after-hours 24 on call support rotations and be available by email after hours

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience providing customer support in Information Technology
  • NET+  or strong knowledge of networking, hardware, and software
  • MCTS, MCSA or experience with Windows Desktop and Server administration, DHCP, Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL/ Office 365, Mac OS is a plus
  • Experience with network printer setup and troubleshooting
  • Experience maintaining Backups and Disaster Recovery
  • Knowledge and experience with cybersecurity best practices including experience with virus removal using common AV packages
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Clean driving record
  • DOD and Maine and New Hampshire background checks
