Deburr Technician - Variable Shifts
DO NOT DISCLOSE PAY RANGES TO CANDIDATES. DO NOT SUBMIT AT THE MAX RATE UNLESS CANDIDATE EXCEEDS REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS. CANDIDATES PAY RATE MUST BE IN CONJUCTION WITH PAY RATE IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED.
SCHEDULE: BOTH DAY SHIFT (5: 00AM - 5: 00PM) AND NIGHT SHIFT (5: 00PM - 5: 00AM) SCHEDULES AVAILABLE. ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE AVAILABILITY TO WORK WEEKENDS AND 15-20 HOUR OF OVERTIME PER WEEK.
$2 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL OFFERED FOR THE NIGHT SHIFT.
TOP SKILLS REQUIRED (ENSURE THIS IS CLEARLY SHOWN ON ALL RESUMES):
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate air powered tools, i.E.: die grinders, right angle grinders, air drills etc.
- Clean, polish, and remove burrs from manufactured parts
- Clean and Gauge threads
- Blend blemishes/imperfections while maintaining tolerance/finish requirements
- Safely operate forklift and overhead cranes
- Able to work in tight spaces and from heights when required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior machine shop experience working in deburr, grinding, buffing, and blending finish machines parts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to work overtime and weekends when needed, sometimes on short notice.
BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
- Safety Orientated Individual
- Very good housekeeping skills.
- Strong work Ethics, can work alone, and in a team.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Able to read and understand blueprints, drawings, sketches, and bills of material
- Read and follow shop routers and work instructions
- Use inspection gauges to ensure quality parts, i.E., caliper, micrometer, profilometer etc.
- Operate radial arm drill press

- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING POWER TOOLS, GRINDERS, ETC.
- PREVIOUS FORKLIFT AND OVERHEAD CRANE EXPERIENCE
- COMFORTABILITY WORKING AT HEIGHTS
- MUST HAVE PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE CLEANING AND DEBURRING PARTS
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and comprehend blueprint on work piece.
- Make setups and adjustments to assure proper alignment of parts.
- Lift, position and secure work piece as needed to turn or balance.
- Make manual adjustments by grinding or drilling.
- Check and inspect work for conformity to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Assist in a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed.
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Work under immediate supervision.
- Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
