Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ceramic Blade Grinder / Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves the setup and operation of precision automatic ceramic grinding machines to produce parts according to blueprints, work instructions, and production standards. The ideal candidate will also assist in various blade processing operations across the Ceramic and Blade departments.

Key Responsibilities:

•Set up and operate precision automatic ceramic grinding machines with minimal supervision.

•Produce high-quality parts from various materials based on blueprints, sketches, and written instructions.

•Perform all related blade processing operations, including beveling, honing, grinding, punching, cutoff, packaging, and assembly.

•Maintain accurate adherence to production specifications and applicable work procedures.

•Participate in process development for unique or undocumented production tasks.

•Perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure reliable operation.

•Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area.

•Take ownership of work quality, performing inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.

•Follow all company safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives.

•Support departmental and company production goals as a collaborative team member.

•Work overtime as required.

•Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

•High School Diploma or equivalent required.

•Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating precision automatic ceramic face grinding machines.

•Experience with other blade production processes is a plus.

•Familiarity with safe handling and lifting of heavy, irregularly shaped items using cranes or power lifts.

Knowledge & Skills:

•Proficient in basic shop math and mechanical reasoning.

•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

•Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, sequencing, and quality standards.

•Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform routine machine maintenance.

•Attention to detail and strong commitment to producing quality parts.

•Good verbal and written communication skills.

•Basic computer literacy for job tracking or data entry.
