Assembler II
Job Description
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform a variety of semi-repetitive operations to assemble precision electromechanical products where methods and sequence of assembly are described by production planning or detailed written instructions
- Reads connection diagrams
- Work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process
- Assemble fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units
- May perform sub-assembly tests to meet tolerances and product specifications
- Use hand tools and small power tools to assemble units;sets up and adjusts accordingly
- Drilling and tapping skills;familiar with use of squares, levels, and calipers
- May interface with engineering and quality departments
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- May require computer to record work in process
- Read assembly drawings
- Familiar with ESD
- Performs peer inspections
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- HS Diploma
- 1-3 years’experience in electro/mechanical assembly
