Job Description
Industrial Sewing Operator
Day Shift - 7: 00 AM -4: 30 PM, OT as needed (can include some Saturdays)
9 Hrs./Day M-Th and 4 hrs. On Friday **Adjusted if OT is required**
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain sewing machines to fabricate garments
- Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine specifications -
- Cut, sew, and assemble fabric and leather pieces according to patterns and instructions -
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications -
- Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines to ensure optimal performance -
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Proven experience as a Sewing Machine Operator in garment construction or similar field like Upholstery
- Proficient in operating sewing machines and other related equipment -
- Knowledge of different sewing techniques and garment construction methods -
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and sewing patterns -
- Attention to detail and strong manual dexterity -
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment -
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic English
