Technical Documentation

Perform information capture and document processes for product assembly (wireline, LWD, MWD) and testing. 
  • Under minimal supervision, organize materials and complete writing assignments primarily pertain to technical (engineering, equipment, operations, etc.) according to established company guidelines
  • Present information in a form and at a level suitable for the oil & gas industry
  • Information materials include equipment manuals, product bulletins and alerts, general data report
  • Maintain complete work records, edit and format materials, assist in document layouts, review sketches, diagrams, and photos, for accurate display
  • Observe and analyze all revisions for accuracy and clarity
  • Confer with all applicable personnel (engineers, managers, vendors, etc.) for verification and approval of final documents
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language required, including the proper meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) version 2003 or 2007, Visio, Adobe Acrobat standard or professional 7.0 or higher, and Windows
  • With knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods
  • This includes alternative ways to inform via written, oral, and visual media

  • Ability to read and understand written information in work related documents, and effectively communicate by written narrative
  • Ability to listen attentively and understand verbal information, as well as speak and communicate effectively
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Ability to communicate and convey information where others may understand
  • Gather and obtain all relevant information from various sources in order to complete writing assignments
  • Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to access and process information
  • Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events
  • Establishing and Maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time
  • Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
