Quality Inspector II

5 month contract

(Maybe a possibility to go perm)

6: 00 AM CT -3: 00 PM CT approx., opportunity for OT

 

Summary

Working on a team but self-directed for inspections, Receiving quality inspection on Mechanical equipment, once inspection is completed, if anything is wrong/missing documentation track into performance tracking system, log into JDE and move that part to the warehouse. This requires a background in Quality Inspection in a Manufacturing environment, preferably oil and gas.

Quality
  •  Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Internal Management System
  •  Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement

 

Responsibilities
  • Check and test samples of a product.
  • Inspect products purchased by their company from suppliers and maintain records of supplier performance.
  • To carry out the inspection related activities of all components and assemblies
  • Dimensional and visual in-process inspection in conjunction with controlled drawings and applicable specifications.
  • Receiving inspection of all jobs performed in the facility
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Responsible for inspecting products using established inspection tools and techniques.

 

Required
  • 5 Years Quality Inspection experience in a Manufacturing environment with mechanical equipment
  • Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, high gauges, thread gauges, etc.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, GDNT, understanding how to read a drawing, understanding measuring devices and what devices are appropriate for each inspection
  • Basic Math
  • Communication
  • ERP experience (JD Edwards is preferred)

 

Education
  • High School Diploma OR GED
